I co-founded Ruzivo Research Lab at African Leadership University (Feb 2025) with some of my students, a machine learning research group focused on applied AI/ML projects relevant to the African context. Our group maintains a public site: ruzivo.vercel.app. We recently submitted the paper "A baseline neural machine translation model for Limbum" to Language Resources and Evaluation (Springer); it's currently under review.

A baseline neural machine translation model for Limbum, a low-resource language. This work establishes foundational benchmarks and methodologies for machine translation in severely low-resource scenarios.
